The study tracked 6506 men and women 45 to 84 for 10.2 years.  Those with optimal scores on the “Simple Seven” showed a significant drop in cancers, chronic kidney disease, pneumonia, emphysema, and thrombosis/embolisms.  Interestingly, even hip fractures and dementia were reduced considerably.

Want to take care of your heart?  And improve your risk of many other serious diseases and injuries?

These are the “Simple Seven”

Stop smoking; control weight; exercise regularly; eat a healthy diet; achieve and maintain healthy cholesterol levels; control blood pressure; and control blood glucose.

In our practice, we also address stress/anxiety levels and getting adequate sleep.

Over time, all of these together make for a healthier, happier, well-regulated lifestyle and help keep disease, injury, and mental decline at bay.
